The Shaaaark Gets Schaaf

He isn't folding this hand!
He isn't folding this hand!

James Schaaf opened to 30,000 from under the gun only to have Humberto Brenes three-bet to 70,000 next to speak.

As the action returned to Schaaf he moved all in for over 600,000 and was double-fist-pump-snap-SHARK called by Brenes

Schaaf: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Brenes: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}

As Brenes' railbirds pressed hard up against the two-inch wide piece of material that was used as the boundary between player and spectator the {Q-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{8-Spades} fell down to give Schaaf some hope.

With Schaaf seated and Brenes standing, both were shouting for a king to fall as Brenes' famous shark-light card protector was flashing wildly.

The dealer dropped the {2-Hearts} on the river to change nothing, and as the rail was slowly edged closer, the dealer burned and turned the {4-Diamonds} on the river to send Brenes into a range of fist-pounds, high-fives and screams of excitement.

With his rail also going crazy, Brenes raked in the pot to move to 750,000 as the one-time chip leader Schaaf slipped down to just 350,000 and change.
