Racener Catching Mortensen

Omaha-8

Carlos Mortensen attempted to put his big stack to work but came off second best against John Racener in a recent Omaha-8 hand.

Racener opened with a raise from the cutoff position with Mortensen making the call in the small blind. They took a flop of {9-Spades}{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Mortensen check-called the bet from Racener. Again the action was check-bet-call on the {7-Hearts} turn before Mortensen decided to lead out on the {2-Spades} river. Racener responded by raising it up and Mortensen made the call.

Racener opened {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for the wheel to scoop. He's up to 275,000 with Mortensen drifting back to the pack with 460,000.
