Carlos' Confusion Costly

Razz...err, Stud

Matt Glantz: (X-X) / {5-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} / (X)
Carlos Mortensen: (X-X) / {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} / (X)

Carlos Mortensen completed, and Glantz called. He called again when Mortensen bet on fourth and fifth. The Matador checked sixth, then called a bet from Glantz. Both players checked on the end. Mortensen tabled {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, saying "Eight." He did indeed have an eight-low. Too bad the game had switched from razz to stud. Glantz held {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and won the pot with a pair of fives. He's up to 700k while Mortensen's mistake dropped him to 400k.

After the hand, Carlos asked the dealer to move the placard that displays the game so that he could see it.
