Smith Over Rosen in the Blinds

No-Limit

All folded around to Jamie Rosen in the small blind who called, and Gavin Smith checked from the big blind. The flop came {J-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and both checked. The turn was the {5-Spades}, and Rosen bet 26,000. Smith called.

The river was the {K-Spades}, putting two pair on board. Rosen bet 30,000 this time, and Smith quickly called. Smith tabled {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and Rosen folded.

Finne Can't Finish Michnik

Michael Michnik
Michael Michnik

No-Limit

It was folded to Timothy Finne in the small blind who made it 151,000, which was enough to put Michael Michnik all in, if he made the call. Michnik went into the tank, putting his head in his hands, deliberating his decision. He finally made the call, putting his tournament life on the line.

Michnik: {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Finne: {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The flop came down {3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and Michnik was still in the lead. The {4-Diamonds} fell on the turn giving him a flush draw. The river brought the {4-Hearts} giving Michnik two pair with a queen and the double up to just over 300,000.

Hurricane Force

No-Limit

Danny "the Hurricane" Hannawa opened to 55,000. It was folded around to Jamie Rosen on the button who reraised to 128,000. Hannawa thought about it for a moment before moving all in for an additional 520,000.

It took Rosen just a few seconds to make his decision and throw his cards into the muck.

Smith Slips, Finne Still First

Limit

Gavin Smith raised from UTG, and it folded to Timothy Finne who made it three bets from the button. Smith called, and would end up check-calling all three streets as the board went {3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, then {J-Clubs}, then {K-Hearts}.

Finne showed {A-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for jacks and kings, and Smith mucked. Finne pushes up close to 1.1 million as the level nears its end, while Smith slips to about 575,000.

Finne Takes One from Solomon

Limit

Jarred Solomon raised from the button, and both blinds -- Danny Hannawa (small) and Timothy Finne (big) -- made the call.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. It checked to Solomon who bet, and only Finne stuck around.

The turn was the {8-Clubs}, and both checked. The river was the {10-Hearts}. Finne bet this time, and Solomon called. Finne tabled {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and Solomon mucked.

Nut No Pair

Limit

Michael Michnik made it two bets to go and Jamie Rosen reraised. Michnik made the call and the flop came down {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Michnik check-called Rosen's bet. And the turn brought the {j-Hearts}. Both players checked to the river.

The {6-Diamonds} fell on the river and both players checked again.

Rosen showed {a-}{q-} for "nut no pair" as the tournament director called out.

Rosen's railbird shouted, "No pair!" as their friend dragged in the pot.
