Minnullin is On a Boat

Limit

Liv Boeree raised from middle position, and the button three-bet it. Albert Minnullin called from the blinds, and Boeree called as well to go to a flop.

It came {8-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}, and Minnullin led out with a bet. Boeree folded, and the button called.

The turn came the {Q-Hearts}, Minnullin bet, the button raised, and Minnullin called.

On the river, the {8-Hearts} drew a check from Minnullin, but he snuck in a check-raise when his opponent bet. The button called the extra bet, showing up {A-}{Q-} for trip queens. Minnullin could do better than that, though; he tabled {Q-}{J-} for the full house, winning the pot to move up to 15,500.

Chips for Chan

No-Limit

Terrence Chan opened for 500, and an opponent reraised all in for his last 2,000. Chan called, tabling {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to his opponent's {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{Q-Spades}, and Chan asked the dealer to deliver a nine to make the hand more interesting. But the turn was a relatively less exciting {Q-Hearts}, and the river {8-Clubs} ended it. Another player is out, and Chan chips up to 9,200.

Maceiras Sent Off

No-Limit

A player in middle position opened for 375, then another reraised to 1,250 from the cutoff. It folded to Juan Maceiras of Spain in the small blind who reraised over the top for 3,850 total. The original raiser folded, but the player in the cutoff moved all in. Maceiras called with his remaining chips -- about 8,500 more.

Maceiras had {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and his opponent {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. The board came {3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}, and the Spaniard hit the rail.

No-Limit

In one of the last hands before the switch back to limit here in Level 3, Eric "Basebaldy" Baldwin opened with a raise from early position, and Andy Black called the raise from a couple of seats over. It folded to the small blind who called as well, then the player in the big blind shoved all in for about 5,000. Baldwin got out, Black reshoved all in over the top, and the SB stepped aside.

Black showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and his opponent tabled {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. The flop came {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, giving Black a set. Then the {10-Hearts} came on the turn, sealing the hand for Black.

Another player hits the rail, while Black moves up to 14,700.

Shulman Sets Up

No-Limit

A three-way preflop all in!:

Daniel Makowsky: {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}
Unknown: {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}
Jeff Shulman: {9-Clubs} {9-Spades}

There was a queen on the flop, but it was money in the bank for Shulman as it came down {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} to give him the nearly unbeatable set of nines. The turn {3-Diamonds} opened up some thoughts of a chopped pot for the other two players, and Makowsky pleaded, "Diamond. Diamond!"

There was no diamond on the river, and Shulman had both players covered to notch the double knockout and move all the way up to 25,600. That figures to be the big stack in the room right now.

Payback

David Williams is out, having been eliminated in a no-limit hand against Dwyte Pilgrim here at the start of Level 3.

"I've been wanting to do that," said Pilgrim afterwards. "He knocked me out of the $25K at the Bellagio!" he added, referring to the most recent WPT Championship won by Williams.

Pilgrim is up to 20,500.
