Limit Adventures with Gavin

Limit

Gavin Smith has been active during the limit round. First came a hand in which Danny Hannawa raised from the cutoff, Smith called from the button, Jamie Rosen three-bet from the big blind, and both Hannawa and Smith called.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Rosen bet, Hannawa folded, and Smith called. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, and Smith again called Rosen's bet.

The river was the {7-Clubs}. This time Rosen checked, Smith bet, and Rosen called. Smith showed {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair, and Rosen mucked. Rosen slipped further to 175,000 on that one

Then came a hand between Smith and Steve Kelly in which the pair bet all of the way through a {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} board enough to put Kelly all in by fifth street. Kelly showed {J-Spades}{10-Clubs} at the end for the straight, while Smith looked like he flashed {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} as he mucked.

Smith fell to 560,000 after that one, while Kelly survived with 235,000.
