Would-a Could-a Should-a

Jeffrey Chu opened with a raise from the cutoff, and Sergey Chernykh -- our chip leader entering Day 2 -- called from the big blind. The flop came {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Chernykh checked, Chu put in a continuation bet, and after a bit of thought Chernykh called.

The turn was the {7-Spades}, and Chernykh checked quickly. Chu took about a minute, then checked behind. Both also checked the {J-Clubs} river.

Chernykh turned over {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Chu then tabled {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for the best hand, and Chernykh nodded in recognition that he might've bet Chu out there at the end.

Chernykh still has one of the biggest stacks with 64,500, while Chu now is up to 27,500.

"Open Seat!"

We've already seen more than 50 players hit the rail here in the first half-hour or so of play today.

One was John Harris. Down below 2,500, Harris was all in with {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} but unfortunately ran into Christian Larsen's {Q-Diamonds}[Qh. The board came {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, and Harris hit the rail. Larsen, meanwhile, sits with 22,000 -- just a little over average at the moment.

Baza Basa

Jose Basa and Mikhail Petrov ended up all in pre-flop. Basa tabled pocket sevens and Petrov {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, the famous suited connectors.

Flop: {5-}{6-}{k-} "Give me a seven", said Petrov.
Turn: {q-}
River: {7-} Set of sevens for Basa and straight for Petrov.

Jose Basa is out of the tournament.

Hua Hurting, Mann Up

With the board showing {8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, Jason Aaron Mann bet 5,200 into a pot of about 15,000, then Can Kim Hua raised all in. Mann -- whom Hua had only barely covered -- quickly called with the rest of his chips.

Mann showed {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a set of eights, while Hua turned over {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair. The river was the {9-Spades}, and Mann doubled to 44,000. Hua, meanwhile, is now down to just 1,200.

Murphy Out, Tribble Up

Short stack Gerald Murphy moved all in for about 4,200 chips and was called by Laura Tribble on the button and by the big blind, Jonathan Markham.

The {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board was checked until the river. Tribble tabled pocket tens and took the pot.

Murphy is out of the tournament and Markham slipped to 47,000 chips and Tribble is now up to 26,000.
