Giuglini Doubles Through Petrov

News from Table #363

Aurelien Guiglini opened the pot with a 2,600-chip raise from the small blind, and next to speak, Mikhail Petrov popped it to 5,600. Guiglini moved all in for about 30,000 chips and Petrov snap called.

Showdown

Petrov: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{j-Spades} gave Giuglini a full double up, is now up to 65,000 chips. Petrov slipped for 95,000.

They Killed Kenny

Kenny Shih just pushed all in for his last 20,000 from early position, then Francois Bennahmias reraised all in from the cutoff for 24,000. The others folded, and Shih showed {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} to Bennahmias' {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The community cards came {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}, and Bennahmias' eights were best. Shih is out, and Bennehmias moves to 46,000.

From Failla's Table

A couple of hands involving Will Failla. Well, one involving Failla, the other including some commentary from "The Thrill."

The first saw Failla pushing all in with from under the gun for his last 19,000 and getting called by a player with 15,000. Failla had pocket queens, his opponent pocket eights, and the queens held. That one took Failla to about 36,000.

Then came a hand in which Stacy Matuson-Taylor pushed all in from early position with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and was called by Xinyu Yang from late position who held {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The board went {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, and Matuson-Taylor doubled to 35,000.

Failla congratulated Matuson-Taylor on the hand afterward, adding that in his opinion, she was "the best looking player at the table."

Failla's prospects aren't looking too good, however, as he's all in and behind. Hand coming.

Petrov Takes a Hit

When we arrived at the table, the board spread out {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and there were about 12,000 chips in the pot.

In the small blind, Aurelien Guiglini check-called a 7,000-chip bet from the player in the big blind, Mikhail Petrov.

The river card was a {3-Clubs} and the French player fired a 10,600-chip bet. Petrov tanked and eventually folded.

Guiglini is now up to 35,000 chips and Petrov slipped to 58,000.
