Just An Eight for Cornell

Facing a raise to 9,000 from under the gun, Tyler Cornell three-bet to 23,500 from two seats over.

His opponent made the call before both players checked the {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop.

The turn landed the {6-Diamonds} and after a check, Cornell fired out 17,000 and his opponent made the call before jamming for his last 96,200 when the river landed the {2-Clubs}.

Cornell went deep into the tank for over three minutes before making the call.

Cornell's opponent tabled his {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for a complete air-ball, and it would be Cornell's {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for middle pair that would eliminate his opponent while seeing his stack rise to over 380,000 in chips.
