Psychological Battles

The atmosphere is rather tense at the moment as the four remaining players continue to engage in a psychological battle. Every move, every decision, is deliberately and meticulously made, and the other players are always suspicious that someone else is making a move.

The last pot of note saw Benjamin Smith raise to 175,000 from the small blind and Taylor Larkin call from the big. On the {J-Spades}{K-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Smith led for 250,000 and Larkin called. On the {9-Clubs} turn, however, Smith conceded the hand by check-folding to a bet of 400,000. As a result, Smith had dropped down to around the million mark and is currently the shortest stack at the table.
