Sands Loses One, but Still Doing Well

Dave "Doc" Sands raised to 3,300 from the cutoff seat and Ben Zamani called from the big blind. The flop came down {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Zamani check-called a bet of 4,800 from Sands.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and both players checked before seeing the {J-Diamonds} fall on the river. Zamani check-called a bet of 8,400 from Sands, who announced two pair. Zamani tabled the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a straight and scooped the pot to move back to 100,000 in chips. Sands dropped a little bit, but still has 360,000.
