Sands Stops Shak

Following an open-raise to 3,600 from the cutoff, Dan Shak decided to commit his last 23,000 from the small blind. It was then with Dave Sands in the big blind and he asked for a count of the cutoff player, before grabbing a stack of orange and plonking it into the middle. The cutoff folded pocket threes face up as Shak and Sands revealed their holdings.

Shak: {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Sands: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Shak needed an ace but he was far from it on the {3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} board. Sands made a set of tens and Shak was sent to the exit.

"Wow you had pocket threes? Lucky you didn't limp!" exclaimed Sands to the cutoff player, but he's happy enough to now be stacking up 375,000 chips.
