Vansant Vanishes, Schneider Has Huge Lead

We caught up with the action on the turn and the board read {6-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Timothy Vansant bet, Mike Schneider raised, Vansant re-raised all in and Schneider called.

Showdown
Vinsant: {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Schneider: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Vinsant could not find another six on the river, and was sent to the rail. Schneider is now heads up with Theo Tran and has a commanding chip lead with 315,000.

Table 308

Matthew Kelly - 175,000

Table 309
Feming Chan - 303,000
Brian Tate - 57,000

Table 313

Timothy Vansant - 70,000

Schneider Takes One from Tran

On a flop of {k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Mike Schneider bet, Theo Tran made it two bets, and Timothy Vansant folded. In answer to Tran's raise, Schneider made it three bets and Tran just called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades}. Schneider bet and Tran called.

On the {q-Diamonds} river, Schneider bet again and Tran made the call, only to see {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flipped over by Schneider. Tran tossed his cards into the muck.

Tran has dropped to 28,000 and Schneider is at 275,000.

Winner: Yu KO's Aguiar With a FatalRiver

Ben Yu advances.
Ben Yu advances.

Jonathan "FatalError" Aguiar got his last few bets in against Ben Yu preflop and the hands were tabled:

Showdown
Aguiar: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Yu: {q-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-} flop kept Aguiar in the lead and even though an {8-} turned, Aguiar was still a favorite heading to the river.

A big fat {j-} rivered though, giving Yu a straight and a seat at tomorrow's final table. With the beat, Aguiar will have to settle with $4,135.

Taylor Moves on to Tomorrow

Brendan Taylor moving on.
Brendan Taylor moving on.

Johnathan Tamayo and Brendan Taylor put all the chips in the middle preflop. Tamayo was the player at risk, for his remaining 15,000.

Tamayo: {6-Spades}{7-Spades}
Taylor: {7-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The board rolled out {2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Taylor's two pair bested Tamayo's rivered two pair to see one player headed to tomorrow and another one headed to the rail.

Sijrbrand Maal Advances

Sijbrand Maal headed to Day 3
Sijbrand Maal headed to Day 3

It was all in preflop for Brian Aleksa with {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} versus Sijbrand Maal's {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Aleksa was the player at risk.

The flop came down {6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Aleksa was still ahead with his pair and now a straight draw, but Maal was also looking at a straight draw. The {q-Spades} hit the turn, however, pairing Maal's queen and the {5-Clubs} that fell on the river was no help to Aleksa who saw his hopes for a gold bracelet dashed.

Aleksa in Trouble

Brian Aleksa is dangerously short in his heads up match against Dutchman Sijbrand Maal.

We reached the table after the dealer had flopped {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Aleksa check-called a bet from Maal.

Both players checked the {10-Hearts} on the turn and the river brought the {7-Hearts}. Aleksa checked to Maal who bet forcing Aleksa to fold.

Aleksa did double the next hand with {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} against {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} on a {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} board, but is still very low with just 18,000 chips.

Maal Takes One from Aleksa

From the button, Brian Aleksa raised it up. Sijbrand Maal made the call.

The flop rolled out {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Maal slid out a bet only to have Aleksa put in a raise. Mall reraised and Aleksa made the call. The turn brought the {k-Clubs}. Maal bet and Aleksa called.

On the {5-Hearts} river Maal check-called Aleksa's bet. Maal turned over {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to take the pot.

FatalError Fills Up

Jonathan "FatalError" Aguiar and Ben Yu got three bets in before the dealer flopped {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Yu led out for a bet and Aguiar called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Yu led again. This time Aguiar raised and Yu called.

The river was the {a-Hearts} and Yu slowed down, check-calling a bet from Aguiar.

Aguiar turned over {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for aces-full and the dealer shipped him the pot. Yu slipped to 240,000 chips and Aguiar is back in it with 120,000 to his name.
