The board ran out to see Musumeci eliminate her opponent and climb to over 13,000 in chips.
Players are being eliminated at a high clip once again today, with tables breaking quickly from all corners of the Pavilion Room. It appears as though we have already lost more than half of the 1,500-plus players who began Day 1b.
Payout information is still being compiled and should be available shortly. The big board currently shows 3,862 to be the total number of entrants, though that number isn't necessarily going to be the final total. We'll pass along the official count soon.
Grayson 'Spacegravy' Physioc has just found a double up.
With his face up against an opponent's , the final board was spread to see Physioc double through to 7,700 in chips.
A player raised to 325 from the cutoff seat, the button folded, and the small blind called. Mike Wattel then reraised all in for his last 1,200 total. The player in the cutoff considered for a minute, then let his hand go. The small blind also took about a minute to decide what to do, and he chose to call.
Wattel showed while his opponent turned over . The board came , and Wattel survived.
The original raiser exhaled as if disappointed after seeing the board. "Your junk would have made a straight?" he was asked by a player not in the hand. He shook his head. "Ace-six," he said, to which Wattel said "Good fold" with a smile.
Wattel now has a little over 2,700.
The remaining players are heading on a 20-minute break.
