Tran Takes One Out

Eugene Todd and JC Tran both checked a {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. The third player in the hand bet 2,000, enough to get a fold from Todd. But JC check-raised him to 7,500. The man called, leaving himself about 6,000 behind. Tran moved his whole stack in dark, putting the guy to a test for his tournament life since he had no rebuy chips left. The turn brought the {q-Hearts}, and Tran's opponent decided to call.

Tran: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts} for two pair and a queen-high flush draw on the flop and top set on the turn
Opponent: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the nut flush draw

The {5-Hearts} on the river didn't fill a flush, and Tran sent the player packing. JC is up to 36,000 but all out of rebuys.
