Paino Maintains Form

Tony Paino
Tony Paino

Overnight chip leader Tony Paino is more than holding his own on the table of death. In fact, he's extended his chip lead to now sit with around 360,000 chips.

We caught Paino raking in some chips in a recent pot with Eli Elezra.

Elezra opened from under the gun to 4,200 with Paino making the call in position. They took a flop of {7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Elezra checked to Paino who fired 10,000. Elezra thought for a long time before sighing, "Tom would never fold this..." as he flashed {A-}{Q-}.

Paino returned the favor and showed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for top set! Paino is up to 360,000 with Elezra sitting at 96,000.
