Curcio Doubles Again

Salvatore Bonavena opened to 155,000 from the cutoff before Joseph Curcio moved all in for 465,000 more from the small blind. Tomer Berda surrendered his big blind and Bonavena tanked momentarily before making the call.

Bonavena: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Curcio: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {6-Spades}{q-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop was a punch to the stomach for Curcio, and he immediately stood up ready to leave.

"CLUB!!!" one of his rambunctious fans yelled.

Curcio indeed had a backdoor club draw, and the {3-Clubs} on the turn kept him alive.

There was a moment of brief silence as the dealer wrapped the table, but the second the {j-Clubs} spiked on the river Curcio's rail exploded.

There is no quit in Curcio, and after a roller-coaster start to the day he is back in the middle of the pack with 1,275,000 chips.
