Katchalov Catches the River

Action folded to Stuart Rutter in the cutoff, and he raised to 5,000. Eugene Katchalov defended his big blind, then checked the {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. Rutter checked behind, taking them to a free {a-Clubs} on the turn. Katchalov check-called 7,000 from Rutter. The {4-Hearts} on the river put four to a wheel and a flush on the board. Katchalov checked one more time, and Rutter gave up. Katchalov didn't get the bet he was looking for and lamented some missed value with {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the nut flush. The hand dropped Rutter to 110,000 while Katchalov is just over starting stack.
