Rush for Chiu

David Chiu
David Chiu

David Chiu just went on a little five-minute rush. Here's a couple of hands he played to go from about 75,000 to 112,000 in chips.

Chiu raised under the gun and David Baker called in the big blind. Both players drew two and then Baker check-called a bet from Chiu. On the second draw, Baker drew one and Chiu stood pat. Baker checked and Chiu fired. This time, Baker folded and Chiu picked up the pot.

On the very next hand, Chiu made a {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and beat Chris McHugh in a pot worth about 18,000 chips to move to 98,000.

Moments after that, McHugh raised and Chiu called. Both players drew two and then McHugh check-called a bet from Chiu. On the second draw, McHugh drew two and Chiu drew one. McHugh checked, Chiu bet and McHugh folded. That pot put Chiu around the 112,000-chip mark.
