After a recent dealer change, Phil Hellmuth announced to his table that he will have 500,000 by the end of the level. "The old dealer was unlucky," Hellmuth explained.
It'll take a lot for Hellmuth's prediction to come true, especially considering there is less than ten minutes remaining in the level and he only has 96,000.
Bruce Stern, or at least his seat, started the day with just over 75,000 chips. Unfortunately, Stern never showed up. He managed to make a few pay jumps by being absent, but the blinds and antes have finally eaten his stack. Stern has been officially eliminated from the tournament.
The tournament has lost it's most awesome name. Ditmar Winkelmolen raised to 8,800 under the gun, and Jason Sackler raised to 21,000. Winkelmolen moved in for 45,000, and Sackler called. It was Sackler's racing Winkelmolen's . The board gave all the chips to Sackler, putting him up to 145,000. Winkelmolen is out, meaning we won't get to write Winkelmolen anymore.
The players are hanging around for a few minutes to race of the black T100 chips. When that is complete, the clock will start on their 60-minute dinner break.
Davin Costa bet 60,000 on a board, oddly leaving himself 300 chips behind. Jose Gatmaitan hero-called and won the pot with when Costa could only show for missed straight and flush draws. While Gatmaitan was up to 350,00 and the top of the chip counts, Costa wasn't quite out. Since it was the last hand before the color up and you can't be eliminated from a tournament by losing a chip race, Costa gets a 500 chip automatically. The question is, will Costa come back after dinner to put his 200-chip profit to use?
Louis Crispino open-shoved for his last 21,500 when action folded to him on the button. Johnny Kitchens over-shoved in the small blind, and the big blind folded. Crispino's were live against Kitchens' , but the board missed Louis completely. Ace-high was enough to take the pot and eliminate Crispino. Kitchens is now sitting behind 87,000.
