Many Notables Survive Until Day 2

Yesterday, 2,341 entrants began Event No. 8, the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Event. A number of poker's most recognizable names made the tournament, but not all of them survived to Day 2.

Phil Hellmuth is still in contention for his record 12th bracelet. Also moving on to the second day of action are Danny Wong, Steve Sung, Jean-Robert Bellande, Michael Gracz, Amnon Filippi, and Matt Hawrilenko.

Day 2 will start with 270 players and we need to lose 27 to reach the money. The tournament is about to get underway.
