Harder Eliminates Sherman, Vaults Toward the Top

We joined the action in a heads-up pot just as the dealer was laying out a flop of {5-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}. Christian Harder was first to act, and he led out with a bet of 7,100. Adam Sherman made the smooth call, and the turn brought the {A-Clubs}. Charder bet again, 12,000 this time, and Sherman went ahead and moved all in for 47,300.

That sent Harder deep into the tank, and he would take several minutes before finally deciding to make the call for a significant chunk of his remaining stack, turning over {A-Spades} {9-Diamonds}. It was a good call; Sherman turned up {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts}, drawing slim to his gutshot. The river {Q-Hearts} sealed his exit, knocking him out in 45th place and vaulting Harder all the way up to 160,000.
