A Benjamin For a Bluff

Eric Wasserson raised to 1,100 from middle position and was called play a player in the small blind. The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and the player in the small blind checked. Wasserson continued for 1,000 and his opponent check-raised to 3,000. Wasserson folded.

"I'll pay you $100 if you show a bluff," Wasserson poked.

"$100?" his opponent returned.

Wasserson nodded, and his opponent showed a {k-}.

"A king and...?" Wasserson prodded further.

The second card was a {q-}, proving that it wasn't a bluff. The player may have lost out on $100, but he is happy to have Wasserson's chips.
