Full Blown Triple

Greg Mueller
Greg Mueller

From under the gun, Carter Phillips raised to 1,600. The min-raise has been Phillips' standard open today. The small blind was Greg Mueller and he raised all in to 7,100. The player in the big blind verified the count and then made the call. Phillips also called and the ESPN cameras rushed to the scene.

After the flop came down {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, the big blind check-called a bet of 4,000 from Phillips. The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} and the river the {J-Hearts}. Both the big blind and Phillips both checked the turn and river.

Phillips held the {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}, but lost the side pot to the big blind who held the {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. Mueller won the main pot and tripled up with the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. He's now got about 23,000 in chips.
