Moon Craters

Darvin Moon - eliminated
Darvin Moon - eliminated

Earlier this level (in an unreported hand) Darvin Moon doubled up a short stack by calling that player's all in with pocket jacks on a queen-high board. Moon's opponent had ace-queen. The hand pushed Moon down to about 35,000, and he continued dropping from there.

On his final hand, Moon was on the button for a flop of {4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. His lone opponent, David Hannani, bet 4,100 into a pot of 4,000. Moon jammed all in for 22,875 total. Hannani tanked, rifling chips while an ESPN camera crew materialized. After a few minutes he called with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Moon showed just top pair and no appreciable draw, {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The turn {k-Clubs} and river {5-Diamonds} sent last year's runner-up heading out of the Amazon Room for the last time in 2010.
