Edward Marcus Eliminated in 9th Place ($6,165)

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Edward Marcus - 9th place
Edward Marcus - 9th place

After quite a few all ins and double ups, we've finally had our first casualty of the final table.

From middle position Edward Marcus raised to 45,000. Chip leader Jason Baker re-raised to 100,000 from the big blind and Marcus shoved all in for around 250,000. Baker took no time at all in calling and it was easy to see why once the cards were face up.

Baker: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Marcus: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

There was no help for Marcus on the board of {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and he was eliminated in 9th place. He will take home $6,165 in prize money.

Jason Baker now sits at a very comfortable 1,015,000 in chips.

Falk and Falcaro Chop

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Another all in just took place, but not another elimination. From the button, Claudio Falcaro raised to 30,000. Adam Falk then pushed all in for his remaining 66,000. Falcaro made the call and Falk's {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} was well ahead of Falcaro's {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Much to Falk's dismay, the flop came {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to put Falcaro into a dominating lead. The {10-Hearts} on the turn gave Falk some chop outs and the {a-Clubs} on the river did indeed give both players the same ace-high straight.

Falk is still short stacked and will need some help to stay afloat.

Joseph Zeman Eliminated in 8th Place ($7,906)

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Joseph Zeman - 8th place
Joseph Zeman - 8th place

We just lost another player. Joseph Zeman pushed all in from early position and was called by Richard Kozlowski.

Zeman: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Kozlowski: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Zeman's hand looked good until the board ran out {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} giving Kozlowski two pair which was enough to send Zeman to the rail. He will take home $7,906.

Adam Falk Eliminated in 7th Place ($10,247)

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Adam Falk - 7th place
Adam Falk - 7th place

Jason Baker raised to 40,000 from the cutoff and Adam Falk pushed all in for a little over 100,000 from the big blind.

Falk: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Baker: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Falk remained in the lead through the flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the turn of the {9-Clubs} but the river brought the {k-Clubs} which gave Baker a pair of kings. Falk was eliminated in 7th place and will take home $10,247.

Baker is still our commanding chip leader with 1,230,000.

Perez Doubles On Last Hand Before Break

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Sean Drake made it 28,000 from the cutoff and Christopher Perez responded by moving all in for 95,000 from the small blind. Drake made the call and turned up {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} but was behind the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} of Perez. The flop fell {7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, putting Perez even further ahead with a pair of kings. There was no help to Drake as the turn and river came {4-Diamonds} and {J-Spades}

After his double up Chris Perez is up to 214,000.
