Sometimes Nothing is Enough

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Action folded around to Anthony Nicholson who raised to around 7,000. Action folded to the button, Enrique Carlos, who went all in for just a few thousand more. It folded back around to Nicholson, who said "Well I have to call even though I have nothing." Nicholson showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} which was live against Carlos's {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}. The board was nearly perfect for Nicholson, as it came out {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}, and Nicholson scooped the pot with trip nines eliminating Carlos.
