Negreanu No More

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised to 3,600 on the button, and Daniel Fischer called in the small blind. Keeping with his aggressive style, Giorgio Medici squeezed and raised it 12,000 on top. Negreanu thought for about 20 seconds before calling, and Fischer came along as well to make it a family pot. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades}, and Fischer checked to Medici who fired out 20,000. After about 15 seconds of thought, Negreanu went all-in, causing a fold from Fischer. Medici called, and the players flipped their cards up.

Negreanu: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Medici: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Negreanu picked up some additional outs with the {5-Clubs} on the turn, but the river brought the {10-Hearts}. Negreanu rushed off to the next tournament, while Medici prepared for his heads up battle with Fischer. Medici has Fischer outchipped by at least 2-to-1.

Cajelais Starting Heads-Up Strong

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Erion Islamay raised to 3,300 from the button and got re-raised to 11,600 by Cajelias in the big blind. Islamay called and they saw a {6-Clubs}{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop.

Cajelias bet 14,000 on the flop and Islamay called.

The turn was a {9-Diamonds} and Cajelais bet 27,000 which led to a fold from Islamay.

Cajelias is up to 300,000 for a two to one chip lead on Islamay

Second Heads-Up table

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Over at 287, Eric Cajelias is heads-up with Erion Islamay. Cajelais has 270,000 and Islamay has 180,000 after his last hand with Bill Heupel

Heupel open-shoved his last 40,000 or so on the turn when the board read {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} getting a call from Islamay. Heupel clearly didn't think he was getting called as he showed down {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} to the {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of Islamay. The river was a {10-Spades} and Islamay scooped the pot to get into heads-up play with only a slight disadvantage.

David Pham also has his three-handed table covered pretty easily, so they may be our next table to get heads-up. We'll keep you posted.

Rosskamm Needs A Medic-i

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Shortly after Daniel Negreanu doubled through Andrew Rosskamm, Rosskamm shoved all in preflop and was called by Giorgio Medici. The two players flipped their cards up, and Medici had Rosskamm dominated.

Medici: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Rosskamm: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and even though Rosskamm rivered two pair, it gave Medici a straight. Rosskamm is eliminated, and Medici is now the big chip leader three handed at his table with Daniel Negreanu and Daniel Fischer

Negreanu Down then Up

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu called off 30,000 on the river of a {10-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{6-}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades} board only to be shown {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for the pot. The next hand and Negreanu raised to 3,600, the button and the small blind called before the Andrew Rosskamm moved all in from the big blind. Negreanu pushed in as well and the others folded.

Negreanu: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Rosskamm: {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Negreanu doubled back over the 60,000 mark, Rosskamm was crippled as a result.
