"I Don't Even Know What an Umlaut is"

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

There is sure to be a lot of interesting conversation at table #6 over in the black section. Gavin Smith and Phil Laak are seated next to each other and we already caught a bit of banter from them.

Smith was trying to argue that because Laak's name has two a's in it, that it should be pronounced "lack." He said jokingly, "You've been pronouncing your name wrong your whole life!" Laak then made some comment about an umlaut and Smith replied "I don't even know what an umlaut is!"

We're sure the humorous quips will continue at that table throughout the day.
