Papola Eliminated

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 60 ante

Jonathan Papola got all his chips in the middle preflop with an opponent. Papola turned over {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and his opponent turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

The flop ran out {4-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} giving Papola a flush draw. Papola just couldn't get there as the {4-Diamonds} fell on the turn and the {4-Spades} came on the river.

Kirchner KO's Troubat

With the pot built up to more than 90,000, we picked up the action between Isaac Kirchner and Nicholas Troubat on a board of {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{A-Spades}{9-Spades}; Kirchner checked to Troubat who led out for 45,000 after the river.

That bet sent Kirchner into the tank for a good four minutes before he announced a check-raise all-in. Troubat insta-called, but tried to muck after Kirchner revealed {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a flopped set. As Troubat was the aggressor, he was required to show his cards, which turned out to be {a-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

After the chips were cut down, it was revealed that Kirchner had Troubat covered by just 4,000 in chips!

"Mosely's Mob" Have Something to Cheer About!

There's a massive crowd surrounding table 366, where the railbirds (most of them out in force for Dominique Mosley) are enjoying the action, especially since Mosley is sharing space with the affable Kenny Nguyen.

However, much to their delight, Mosely has just picked up some much-needed chips. The action folded to Nguyen who opened for 21,000 before Ismail Abousharkh called from middle position. Foster Hays also called from the button, but then Mosely moved all-in for 50,000.

The crowd stirred even more when Nguyen slapped the rest of his chips into the middle. "Come on in, I got them!" he cried. Abousharkh didn't want a bar of it, kicking his hand into the muck, but Hays did call and the cards were tabled:

Nguyen: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Hays: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Mosley: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

"Put a king on the board!" yelled a well-watered railbird. No king, but the flop of {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{J-Hearts} was just as good and Mosley's supporters almost tore the rail down trying to edge in for a closer look.

"HEART!" bellowed another supporter. Bink! Down came the {8-Hearts} on the turn! Mosely jumped out of his chair and started pumping his fists in the air as he screamed and ran around the tables in celebration. Or as we say in Australia, he carried on like a pork chop. All the while, his friends were going beserk on the rail, starting up an Olé, Olé, Olé chant, much to the chagrin of the players on the other tables.

There were no bust-outs after that hand, but Mosley's mob will be around a little while longer after that triple-up.

Wade Goes Deep Into Tank

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 60 ante

We found this hand unfolding as Andrea Vezzani moved all in on the turn against Tristian Wade. The pot was already between 60,000 and 70,000. The board was {4-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {2-Clubs} and Vezzani's bet was 226,000 - enough to cover Wade.

Wade went deep into the tank, almost five whole minutes. Wade sighed and finally relinquished his hand. Vezzani exposed his {A-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} and Wade looked sick. "I almost made one of the sickest calls in my life. I just tanked with {A-} {2-}."

Wade apologized to his table for tanking so long.

Boom Goes the Dynamite!

Jordan Young (from Event #8)
Jordan Young (from Event #8)

A player in early position raised to 18,000 and Jordan Young reraised it to 46,000. His opponent made the call.

The flop ran out {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Young bet 19,000, his opponent reraised to 50,000, Young reraised to 130,000, his opponent pushed all in, and Young made the call.

Young flipped over {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and his opponent turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn gave Young some hope with a flush draw. He got there on the river when the {6-Diamonds} hit.

Young is now up to around 700,000 in chips.

Our New Chipleader

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 60 ante

Foster Hays, Jordan Young and John Hewitt just built a huge pot. The flop was {4-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} and Young bet 26,500, Hewitt called and Hays moved all in for 438,500. Young got out of the way and Hewitt called.

Hewitt: {6-Spades} {6-Hearts}
Hays: {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}

The board finished {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and Hays set brought him up to 940,000. Hewitt slipped to 300,000.

Lavelle's Loving Life

In one of the final hands before the break, Jeffrey Lavelle found himself all-in with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, but much to the delight of the boisterous rail, Dominique Mosely had him dominated with {Q-}{Q-}.

However, the crowd went deathly silent after Lavelle hit his set on the flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. The turn of the {K-Diamonds} changed nothing, and Lavelle doubled up after the {6-Clubs} blanked out on the river, leaving Mosely with a very short stack.
