Trips Good for Kuzmin

When we reached Table 278, the board read {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}, and Jeffrey Neeman and Alexander Kuzmin were heads up. Neeman led out, and Kuzmin called.

Both players checked after the {9-Diamonds} turned, and Neeman led again after the {7-Hearts} fell on the river. Kuzmin raised, and Neeman opened {a-Diamonds}{x-Diamonds} thinking it was just a call. Once he realized it was a raise, he tossed in the extra bet, and Kuzmin opened {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for trips.

Neeman's mistake was a costly one, and now he's one of our shorter stacks.
