Boeken Loses Some

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

A player in the cutoff raised, and Noah Boeken called in the small blind. The flop came down {6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and Boeken check-called a bet. He check-called another after the {5-Spades} turned, and check-folded when the river brought the {6-Spades}.

Boeken is still healthy though, and has 7,400 chips.

Sternberg Busts One

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Justin Sternberg is just a couple of days removed from a final table appearance in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Triple Chance tournament and has come out today to test his skills in Limit Hold'em.

So far he is doing well and recently busted a player with {3-Spades}{2-Spades} on a {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} board. He was able to fade some outs against his opponents {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and send him to the rail. With that pot he chips up to 9,700.

Zolotow Runs Into Aces

Steve Zolotow and an opponent were heads up with the flop reading {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Zolotow check-called a bet, and the turn brought the man with the axe - the {k-Diamonds}. Zolotow check-called another bet.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and Zolotow (yes, you guessed it) check-called a bet. His opponent tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for a pair of aces, and Zolotow mucked.

Money Plays

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Robert "The Thorn" Rosengardten has an unusual card protector... money. A neatly folded $20 bill sits next to his growing stack. He claims to have found the bill a couple of days ago and has been on a hot streak ever since.

Most poker players say they aren't superstitious, but as Michael Scott from the The Office once said, "I'm not superstitious, but I am a little 'stitious.' " It can never hurt to just leave the bill on the table and hope for some run good. So far, so good. He currently has 12,000 chips.

Kravchenko Takes Down a Pot

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Alexander Kravchenko raised from the cutoff position and was reraised by a player in the button. The player in the big blind then reraised and both Kravchenko and the player from the button called.

The flop ran out {4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts}. The player in the big blind bet and Kravchenko and the player from the button called. The {7-Spades} fell on the turn. The player in the big blind bet and both players called. The river brought the {7-Diamonds}. All the players checked.

The player in the big blind flipped up {5-}{5-} and Kravchenko flipped up {j-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Kravchenko now sits with around 8,400 in chips.

From middle position, Jennifer Harman raised and Justin Bonomo three-bet from the button. Harman called and the flop was {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Harman checked and Bonomo continuation bet. Harman called and the turn came the {2-Diamonds}. Once again, Harman check-called. The river was the {q-Clubs} and for a third time, Bonomo bet and Harman called.

Bonomo flipped over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for a flopped Ace-high flush which held up to be the nuts by the river. Harman mucked and Bonomo has rebounded to 11,500 chips. Harman is now down to 10,000.
