Hunting those Chips Down

We found Gavin Hunt raising under the gun preflop, and when the action folded around to Mark Gryglik he defended his big blind. The pair got to see a flop and it came out {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} where Gryglik check-called a bet from Hunt.

Both players checked the {K-Diamonds} turn. It wasn't until the {A-Spades} hit on the river that Gryglik bet out. Hunt called and showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a set of aces which was miles ahead of Gryglik's {J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Martin Binks a Gutterball

When we reached Table 283, Shannon Shorr and Jesse Martin were heads up with the board reading {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Martin check-called a bet, and the turn was the {a-Clubs}. Martin checked-called another bet from Shorr.

The river was the {9-Clubs}, both players checked, and Martin tabled {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a rivered straight. Shorr kept his composure, but was visually irked Martin's good fortune on the river.

Schreiber vs. Shchemelev

Vladimir Shchemelev opened under the gun only to have Matt Schreiber three-bet from the button. The blinds got out of the way, Shchemelev made the call, and both players checked the {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Spades} flop. Shchemelev then check-called a bet on the {3-Diamonds} turn, which was followed by the {J-} on the river.

Shchemelev checked, Schreiber bet, and the Russian laid down his hand.

Shchemelev Ships a Double

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Jeffrey Neeman raised from the cutoff seat, Vladimir Shchemelev put in three bets from the small blind, and Neeman made the call. The dealer fanned {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Shchemelev led, and Neeman called. Shchemelev got the rest of his chips in after the {3-Hearts} turned, and Neeman put him at risk.

Showdown
Shchemelev: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Neeman: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Shchemelev's sevens held when the {4-Spades} came on the river, and he doubled to 18,500 chips. Neeman slipped to 46,000.

Two Short Stacks Battling it Out

We got to Table 283 in time to witness Richard Lyndaker getting all-in against Jeffrey Jerome on a board of {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. When the cards were flipped both players were shocked to find that they each held a flush. However it was Lyndaker's higher {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} that was enough to win the pot. Jeffrey Jerome held {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the weaker flush and a pretty big blow to his stack.
