Zeidman and Stavrakis Take Back Their Chips

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Stavrakis: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{K-Clubs} / {x-}
Zeidman: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{Q-Spades} / {x-}

Filippos Stavrakis fired out on fourth and Corey Zeidman called before the latter took the lead on fifth with his open pair of sixes and fired out. Both players then checked sixth street before Zeidman bet seventh, Stavrakis calld with {A-}{5-}{6-} in the whole for a pair of aces and Zeidman showed {A-}{3-}{4-} for sixes with a 7-6-4-3-A low.

Kassela Back on the Straight and Narrow

Kassela: {x-}{x-} / {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} / {x-}
Feinberg: {x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} / {x-}

Sam Feinberg raised on third and Kassela made it two bets, Feinberg made it three and Kassela called. Feinberg then fired on fourth and Kassela raise, Feinberg then put Kassela all in and was called.

It was Feinberg's aces against Kassela's huge low draw, Kassela improved to a pair on fifth while Feinberg bricked. Both players bricked on sixth but Kassela caught a seven on seventh to scoop the entire pot rendering Feinberg final card - the {Q-Hearts} useless.

Pappas Chopped Up

Pappas: {X-}{X-}/{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}/{X-}
Jett: {X-}{X-}/{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Spades}/{X-}
Chad: {X-}{X-}/{A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}/{X-}

We picked up the action on fifth street where Karina Jett's bet was called by both Norman Chad and John Pappas. On sixth street Jett bet again, but Chad raised all in for his remaining stack. Both Pappas and Jett called, checking on seventh street.

Jett tabled {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for aces up, while Chad showed {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{X-} for a low. Pappas couldn't beat either and surrendered the pot.

Fast Exits

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Both Ron Fast and James Wheatley were all in before fourth street against Ming Reslock and Christopher Mchugh.

Mchugh: {X-}{X-}/{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}/{X-}
Wheatley: {X-}{X-}/{A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}/{X-}
Fast: {X-}{X-}/{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{K-Spades}{6-Clubs}/{X-}
Reslock: {X-}{X-}/{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}/{X-}

Wheatley survived, having a buried queen to make trips. Fast however, was unable to beat either Mchugh's pair on board nor Reslock's better pair on board. He could not muster a low either, thus ending his tournament.

Star Gazing

Kristy Gazes was all in on sixth and Tony Ma was debating a call, finally making it.

Gazes: {2-Clubs}{5-Clubs} / {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} / {4-Spades}
Ma: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} / {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} / {2-Spades}

Gazes flipped aces up and Ma sweated his last card knowing only a jack would allow him to scoop the pot, instead it was the {2-Spades} - the ultimate blank and Gazes moves back up to around 85,000.
