Cajelais Eliminated

Erik Cajelais
Erik Cajelais

After Cajelais was crippled in a previous hand, it seemed as if his demise was inevitable. Sure enough, it came when Dan Kelly raised from the cutoff and Cajelais three-bet all in for 8,800 on the button. After the blinds folded, Kelly made the call and the cards were turned up.

Kelly: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Cajelais: {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}

It was bad news for Cajelais, whose best bet was a king. The {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{A-Hearts} flop paired his seven, but still left him wanting. The {6-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, and the {Q-Spades} river sent the pot to Kelly. Cajelais was eliminated from the tournament late on Day 2.
