Carlos Mortensen Eliminated in 15th Place ($24,060)

Hoyt Corkins raised from under the gun and Carlos Mortensen re-raised on the button. Steve Landfish four-bet from the big blind and Corkins capped the betting. Mortensen called all in and Landfish called as well as the players saw a {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop. Landfish check-called Corkins’ bet and the action was the same on the {5-Spades} turn. Landfish led out when the {K-Diamonds} hit the river and Corkins made the call. Landfish announced “nuts” and turned over {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Corkins frustratingly turned over yet another pair of {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} while Mortensen showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} before he hit the rail and the Landfish rollercoaster continued.
