Hawrilenko Can’t Beat Ace-Ten

Level 4 : 400/800, 0 ante

In an earlier hand, the hijack raised and Matt Hawrilenko called from the big blind. Hawrilenko check-raised on the {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and his opponent called. Hawrilenko check-called the player's bet when the {Q-Spades} hit the turn. We’re unsure of the action on the {4-Clubs} river but there was definitely a bet and a call. The hijack showed {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} for top-top on the flop which was good as Hawrilenko mucked.

Then just before, Hawrilenko raised from under the gun and Ted Forrest called from the big blind. Forrest check-raised on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} flop and Hawrilenko called. Forrest led out on the {8-Spades} turn which Hawrilenko called and both players checked the {6-Diamonds} river. Forrest turned over {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the same hand that beat Hawrilenko earlier and it was good again as he mucked.
