Catching Flack

Level 4

Layne Flack has just been eliminated in the limit hold'em round. Running short on chips, Flack got his money in with {6-} {7-} on an {8-} {7-} {2-} {5-} {5-} board. His opponent held {8-} {8-} in the hole, and a full house beats a missed straight draw any day of the week.

Flack's day is done early.

Clements Reduced

Pot Limit Omaha

An opponent in the under-the-gun position raised to 350 before the flop and found one caller in the form of Scott Clements to go heads-up to a flop of {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The UTG player led out for 475 and Clements called before both players checked the turn of the {5-Hearts} and the river {8-Clubs}

The UTG player tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Clements threw his hand into the muck.

Elezra Escalates

2-7 Single Draw

The action folded around to the player in the cutoff who raised to 300 before the flop; Eli Elezra reraised to 875 from the button. The cutoff called and both players took one card before the cutoff checked, but looked green after Elezra led out for 1,100.

After about two minutes in the tank, the cutoff folded and Elezra laughed as he flashed {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} before raking in the pot.

Cunningham Cut Back

Stud

Allen Cunningham: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{K-Hearts} / {x-}{x-}
Opponent: {4-Spades}{3-Spades} / {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} / {2-Spades}

Cunningham brought-in and the action folded to an opponent who raised; Cunningham reraised and the opponent called before check-calling Cunningham's bet on fourth street and fifth street. The opponent then opened on sixth street, but Cunningham raised again and the opponent called before leading out on the river.

Cunningham raised and the opponent called with his flush, which was good enough to take the pot down.

Chen Strung Along

Level 3

Razz

Bill Chen completed with a {6-} up, and Brian Powell three-bet with a {3-}. Chen called, and off they went.

Chen: (x-x) / {6-}{2-}{a-}{k-} / (x)
Powell: (x-x) / {3-}{8-}{j-}{6-} / (x)

Chen checked on fourth, then called a bet. On fifth, he took the lead with a bet of his own, and Powell made the quick call. The lead changed hands again on sixth, and Powell led back out. Chen called, and he faced one more bet on seventh. This time, he could not call, though, studying carefully for about a minute before surrendering.

Chen is down to about 9,800 now, while Powell climbs to about 13,500.

Robert Mizrachi Makes Good

Level 3

Badugi

Robert Mizrachi raised from under the gun and found one caller from the UTG +1 position before the first draw. Mizrach drew one and the opponent drew two before Mizrachi opened the betting. The opponent raised and Mizrachi called before drawing one. The opponent stood pat and bet after Mizrachi checked to him, but Mizrachi quickly check-raised.

The opponent called and both players elected to stand pat before Mizrachi bet after the final draw. The opponent called, only to muck his hand after Mizrachi showed an {A-}{3-}{6-}{7-} badugi.
