Back to Back for Barbaro Over Waxman

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Travis Pearson raised in mid position and was called by Francesco Barbaro who was next to act as well as Matthew Waxman in the big blind. The flop rolled out {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Waxman led out. Pearson got out of the way and Barbaro stuck around. The {6-Spades} turn and {3-Clubs} river both went check bet call. Barbaro showed {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top two pair and Waxman mucked.

Shortly after, Barbaro came in with a raise UTG and was called by Kostas Kalathakis, Matthew Waxman and Travis Pearson. The {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop was checked around to Waxman who bet and was only called by Barbaro. On the {2-Clubs} turn, Barbaro check called Waxman’s bet. Once the {Q-Spades} hit the river, Barbaro led out. Waxman asked if Barbaro had flopped the nuts and after a few minutes, made the crying call. Barbaro indeed flopped the nuts with {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and moved up to 1,135,000 after the hand while Waxman dropped down to 765,000.
