Day 3 Minutes Away!

Bracelet time!
Bracelet time!

Welcome back to the 2011 World Series of Poker!

Two days ago, 2828 players signed up for Event #32: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em with their eyes fixed upon a bracelet and the first place prize of $668,276. Today, on Day 3, only 35 runners are still in the hunt for the hardware and the cash.

Dror Michaelo leads the way with 876,000 chips, but there are a handful of players with big stacks, including Adam Geyer who is second in chips with 664,000. Geyer made a deep run in Event #23: $2,500 Eight-Game Mix, finishing 9th for $19,268.

One of the more familiar faces remaining in the field is Josh Brikis. Brikis finished 55th in the 2010 Main Event ($138,285), and has already made a final table at the 2011 WSOP in Event #9: $1,500 2-7 Draw Lowball. He finished 6th, taking home $14,296. Brikis is short-stacked entering the day, but if he can chip up early he'll be a force to reckon with.

The plan is to play to a winner today, but if we complete ten levels before a champion is crowned, then we will return tomorrow for a Day 4. One might think that going from 35 players to one is a tall task, but in no limit hold'em anything can happen.

The cards will be in the air in about 15 minutes, so be sure to keep it locked for all of your up-to-the-minute updates!
