Mercier Back

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Jason Mercier started the day with about 30,000, then fell to roughly 2,000, and is now back to about 25,000.

In a hand against Paolo Compagno, Mercier bet an {X-}{X-}/{A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}/{X-} board on sixth and seventh street. Compagno called with {X-}{X-}/{6-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades}/{X-} and mucked when Mercier tabled {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for trip 8's to win the pot.

When You Have Limons, Make Limonade

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Michele Limongi: {x-}{x-} / {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} / {x-}
Allen Kessler: {x-}{x-} / {A-Spades}{A-}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} / {x-}

Allen Kessler bet his open aces on fifth and Michele Limongi was the only caller as the "Chainsaw" fired every street before seventh was checked.

Limongi turned over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and declared, "Three eights."

Kessler was a bit taken aback, "Are you serious?" as he flipped {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}, unable to even get half.

Mosseri Eliminated

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Abe Mosseri: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} / {x-}
Nikolai Yakovenko: {x-}{x-} / {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{A-Hearts} / {x-}

Mosseri and Yakovenko got into a raising war on third street, capping the betting before Mosseri was all in on fourth showing {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} against Yakovenko's {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Mosseri was looking good for a double up but Yakovenko caught running cards for a wheel on sixth and seventh to scoop the entire pot and eliminate his opponent.

Out of Harm-an's Way

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Hasan Habib: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades} / {x-}

Joining the action on fifth and it was Habib dictating the action as he bet fifth, sixth and seventh, Harman called the first two bets but was frantically rechecking her cards on seventh before eventually mucking, claming she had {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} in the hole.

Mike Sexton: {x-}{x-} / {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} / {x-}

Kirill Rabtsov completed and Mike Sexton made it two bets, Phil Hellmuth tanked for a moment and folded and Rabtsov made the call. Sexton took the lead and bet all the way until sixth where he check-called a bet before both players checked seventh. Sexton showed {A-}{8-}{7-} for aces up and Rabtsov had the low with 8-6-5-4-3.
