The Only Thing Dwan Folds is His Laundry (Maybe)

Tom Dwan: the mind boggles ...
Tom Dwan: the mind boggles ...

The wild swings of Tom Dwan are getting beyond ridiculous, having just surrendered chips to David "Devilfish" Ulliott before doubling back up to 170,000.

All the money was in the middle on a flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{A-Hearts}; Dwan had called with {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a pair and the flush draw, but Ulliott had the lead with trip sixes. They improved to quads on the turn of the {6-Spades}, making the river {9-Spades} merely nothing more than decoration.

Down to just 64,000, Dwan found himself all-in after the flop of {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{J-Clubs} against Peter Jetten holding {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for two pair, having outdrawn Jetten's {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}. The turn and river ran {5-Clubs}, {10-Diamonds} to give Dwan a bigger two pair and the double-up.

To our knowledge, Dwan has not laid down a hand pre-flop throughout the entire tournament. We're not kidding. Such is the nature of the beast that is "Durrrr."

Still Plenty Of Action

We may be down to our final three tables, but there is still plenty of action going around. At Gregory Brooks's table, he has just doubled up Hans Winzeler. The two players got the last of Winzeler's money in preflop, and Winzeler was looking for his aces to hold.

Winzeler: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Brooks: {10-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and Winzeler scored the double up to get to 200,000.

While that hand was going on, there was another big hand going on over at the table holding Tom Dwan and David Ulliot. The board read {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and Ulliot led out for 27,000. Dwan responded with a raised to 140,000, and Ulliot went deep into the tank. He said "I don't think I can fold this hand. Especially to you. I know how much you want this bracelet so I'm going to lay this down for you," as he open folded {6-}{2-}. He asked Dwan to show him the eight-six, and sure enough, Dwan obliged, and showed him {8-}{6-}.

Vannesa Selbst Eliminated In 18th Place ($23,519)

Vanessa Selbst took a horrible beat to go out in 18th
Vanessa Selbst took a horrible beat to go out in 18th

In what is undoubtedly the biggest pot of the tournament so far, Vanessa Selbst has been eliminated in 18th place.

From late position, Selbst raised it up to 18,000 preflop and got a call from Steven Merrifield in the cutoff and Greg Brooks in the big blind. The flop came down {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Brooks bet out 38,000. Selbst in middle position then raised it to 104,000 and Merrifield folded. Brooks thought about it for a little while and then re-raised to 203,000. Selbst then re-raised the pot and Brooks called putting her all in.

Selbst turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a trip threes with the ace kicker, and Brooks showed {K-}{k-}{9-}{3-Spades} for trip threes with a king kicker.

It all changed on the turn though when the {9-Clubs} fell and gave Brooks a full house. Selbst cringed as she realized her fate, and the river {7-Hearts} sent her to the rail in 18th place.

After the hand Brooks has nearly double that of second place with 1,300,000.

Moorman Doubles Through Ulliott

Tom Dwan made it 8,000 under the gun, and David Ulliott made it 25,000 on the button. Chris Moorman was in the small blind, and bet pot, equal to 62,000. It folded back to Ulliott, who went into the tank for a couple of minutes. Finally, he decided to smack down the chips that would put Moorman all in. The two flipped their hands up, and it was virtually a flip.

Ulliott: {2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Moorman: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, and Ulliot was still in the lead. The turn came the {7-Diamonds}, and he just needed to dodge an ace, king, or eight. He couldn't do it, as the river came the {a-Diamonds}, and Moorman scored the double up just a few minutes into this level.

Bleznick Coolers Brooks To Take The Chip Lead

Jared Bleznick and Gregory Brooks just got involved in a huge hand that saw Bleznick double through Brooks to take the chip lead. The flop came out {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and Brooks bet out 18,000. Bleznick came back with a raise to 41,000, and Brooks opted to call. The turn brought the {4-Hearts}, and Brooks checked. Bleznick asked how big the pot was , 149,000, and then bet that much. After about 30 seconds of thinking, Brooks announced pot, and Bleznick called immediately. It seemed obvious that we had a set over set situation, and thats exactly what it was.

Bleznick: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Brooks: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Brooks would need to hit a one outer on the river, but he wasn't able to, as it came the {7-Diamonds}, giving Bleznick the double up and making him the biggest stack in the room.
