Time For the Nooner

Good morning from the Amazon Room, and welcome to Event #36, the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em event. It's the only nine-handed $2,500 no-limit tournament on the calendar this year, and the buyin allows for a near-homogenous mix of top-tier pros, up-and-comers, and relative amateurs. Last year, Tomer Berda walked away with $825,000 for winning this thing.

We're about twenty minutes from the shuffle-up-and-deal, and the board shows 1,126 players registered so far. Last year's field topped 1,900, and we'd expect to see easily that number packed into the Pavilion by the time the window shuts. The dealers are just taking their seats and shuffling the chips, and the players are next.

We're camped out along the rail, and we've got up-to-the-minute updates on the way. Don't wander off!
