Good-Bye Abecassis

PLH

Michel Abecassis got all in preflop from middle position holding {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and was up against the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} of Stewart Yancik. Abecassis was way behind and needed a bit of a miracle. Unfortunately for him, the {3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop essentially dashed any hopes he may have had. The {3-Spades} turn left him drawing dead, which was followed by the {7-Clubs} on the river.

Bansi Runs Into Jacks

PLH

It appeared Praz Bansi got his last 30,000 in preflop holding {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and was up against the {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} of Jan Fernandez. When the flop fell {3-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{A-Diamonds}, Bansi began to collect his things. The {3-Diamonds} turn inspired him to stand, and the {Q-Clubs} sent him bolting to the nearest exit.

We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat!

PLO

After a flop of {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, David Williams check-called a bet of 3,500 from Athipoo Phahurat. The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and Williams again check called Phahurat's bet, this time to the tune of 9,500. The river brought the {k-Hearts} and this time both players opted to check.

Williams: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} (kings full of sevens)
Phahurat: {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} (eights full of kings)

Williams' boat was best and he said after the hand that he had hoped Phahurat was going to bet the river. Phahurat explained that he didn't see much value in betting the river and it turned out to be a wise decision as Williams scooped up the pot.

Phahurat was left with 22,000 in his stack while Williams stack grew to 149,000.
