Something New For Junglen

Adam Junglen doubled up after he pushed over Cameron New's check-raise on the turn of the {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs} board. Junglen had bet 24,500 and New check-raised for pot before Junglen moved all in.

New called with {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} but said, "Nice flat," when Junglen flipped {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}. The river was the {9-Diamonds} helping neither player and the youngster, who has already made two finals, is looking for his third.

36 Remain After Two Bust Outs

We didn't catch the hands, but both Siegfried Stockinger and Stewart Yancik have been eliminated from the tournament. Their departure means we're down to 36 players, who are now all seated among four tables.

Off to the Races for 300K

David Baker
David Baker

PLH

We're not sure of the exact action preflop, but we do know a series of raises and reraises resulted in David Lestock being all in for 143,000 and called by David "ODB" Baker. As you might expect, it was a race.

Baker: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Lestock: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Baker stood from his chair, knowing this was likely one of those tournament defining moments. A flash of relief washed over his face when the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop missed his opponent. Just as Baker was about to relax in his chair, the dealer burned and turned the {A-Hearts}.

Baker kept his composure, but the expression on his face was one of extreme disappointment. The {7-Spades} river changed nothing as Lestock doubled to nearly 300K.

Yancik Climbing

PLO

Stewart Yancik got his last 18,200 in preflop against Carsten Joh.

Yancik: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Joh: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board was about as dramatic as it could be, the flop giving both players a set when it came {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. The turn of the {a-Clubs} then gave Yancik quads, but Joh was still live with one out to a royal flush. Luckily for Yancik, the river was the {8-Hearts} and he doubled up to 38,000 while Joh was left with 84,000.

David vs. David

PLH

Although we didn't see the betting action, we did see that David Hedley's {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} had bested David Baker's {a-Spades}{q-Spades} on a board reading {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Hedley doubled to around 130,000 and Baker's stack dipped to 245,000.

The Shark Swims Away

Humberto Brenes - Eliminated
Humberto Brenes - Eliminated

PLH

PokerStars Team Pro Humberto Brenes raised to 8,000 from the cutoff and Jonas Mackoff re-raised to 18,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Brenes went all in for 42,000 total. Mackoff decided to call and Brenes tournament life was put at risk.

Brenes: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Mackoff: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Mackoff's boat officially sunk the shark. Brenes headed to collect his money while Mackoff's stack grew to 205,000.

Brown vs. Williams . . . and We're Not Talking Ronnie Brown vs. Ricky Williams

PLO

On a board reading {Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, David Williams bet out 18,000 and was quickly reraised to 45,000 by Rodney Brown. Williams responded by potting and Brown called all in for 128,300 total.

Williams: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Brown: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}

Williams had flopped two pair, but he was looking to pull a ten in order to make a straight and overtake Brown's set. Unfortunately for Williams, the {J-Diamonds} was put out on the river. Brown and Williams essentially traded chip positions.

Do Heads to Collect His Dough

PLO

After a flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}, David Lestock bet 25,000 and Quinn Do moved all in. Lestock called and their hands were revealed.

Do: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} (pair of aces)
Lestock: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} (eight-high straight)

While Do's hand had been best before the flop, Lestock had flopped the nuts. The turn and river brought the {q-Diamonds} and {a-Hearts} which weren't enough to save Do and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Cutty Sark

Scott Clements
Scott Clements

Scott Clements got Karen Sarkisyan all in preflop when he held {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to her {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. The board came {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} to bust the Russian lady.

Clements is now up among the chip leaders.
