End of Day 2 of Event #39: $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Omaha

Level 18
David Lestock
David Lestock

David Lestock will be going into Day 3 as the chip leader just ahead of Kyle Zartman and Cameron New, he sits atop the podium at the moment with 452,000. Zartman has 450,000 and New 448,000 to lead the the remaining 22 players.

131 began today as we lost the likes of Dani Stern, Eli Elezra, Barry Greenstein and JP Kelly before the money. At this point David Williams took a commanding lead as he won a huge four-way all in pot in PLO, getting aces to hold to give him a stack that was five times the average at that point.

Williams was also responsible for eliminating the bubble stack, Greg Lee sending him home with nothing and putting the other 63 players into the money. Indeed, it was looking unlikely that anyone would stop the Team PokerStars Pro, but Williams lost a late big pot with top two pair against top set and was crippled as a result, going out late in the money.

Other players remaining in the event tomorrow include the ever dangerous Scott Clements, well-known for his Omaha prowess, former bracelet winner Rami Boukai as well as David Baker and the always entertaining Carter Gill.

We'll be restarting tomorrow at 3pm as this tournament attempts to play out amid the likely loud noise of the French and British crowds watching other finals.
