Darya Hulyk Eliminated in 14th Place ($30,431)

Darya Hulyk - 14th Place

Darya Hulyk entered the pot from the hi-jack with a raise to 45,000 only to have Jacob Naquin three-bet the cutoff to 107,000. Once the action returned to Hulyk, she slid out her second consecutive four-bet by making it 245,000 total.

Sounds familiar to the last hand doesn't it?

Although he flat-called on the previous occasion, Naquin chose to five-bet shove all in for virtually 3 million as Hulyk made the call.

Hulyk: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Naquin: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

With Hulyk in the lead, the {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Spades} flop saw Naquin take the lead and be a near-lock on the pot that could send him to a spot where he would hold over a third of chips in play.

For Hulyk, the chance to create history would become slimmer when the {9-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

History you say?

Hulyk is dating Oleksii Kovalchuk who managed to snag a bracelet earlier in the series in Event #26: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em / Six Handed, and earlier in the day it seemed as though Hulyk could - along with Kovalchuk - become the first couple to win bracelets in the same year.

Unfortunately for Hulyk and Kovalchuk, the river landed the {6-Diamonds} to end her run in 14th place for a $30,431 payday as Naquin soars to 4,480,000 in chips.
