Isra Short

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

On a board of {2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} we found Roland Isra betting out 225. His opponent in the blinds - Event #15: $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em tenth-place finisher Andrew Cohen - check-raised to 600.

Isra called, and when faced with a 1,000-chip bet on the turn of the {7-Clubs}, he proceeded to call that too before being faced with a 1,600-chip bet on the river of the {2-Clubs}. Isra folded and slipped to 1,700 in the process.

Massage Anyone?

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

"Massage anyone?" asked the dealer on table 36 as a masseuse waltzed past her table.

"Are you offering?" asked a player inquiring to the dealer if she would be paying or providing the masseuse.

The dealer laughed as the masseuse continued her walk down the aisle.

Hundred Dollar Bill Y'all!

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

"Players. A floorman has just turned in a $100 bill. So if it's yours, please come and retrieve it!" announced Tournament Director Jimmy Sommerfeld in his Texan-sounding drawl.

"To claim it you'll have to tell me the serial number!" added Sommerfeld as the players and dealers burst into laughter.

Subtle Check

On a flop of {J-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Jennifer Tilly fired a bet that was called by the player on the button. The turn came {6-Spades} and the action was checked by both players.

When the {Q-Spades} fell on the river, Tilly checked once again. Roughly a minute and a half passed without action from her opponent until Tilly finally remarked "I checked", followed by an "Oh!" from her opponent.

Everyone around the table shared a laugh as Tilly said "I guess I'm just too subtle with my checking". Her opponent bet out 350 and Tilly tossed her cards into the muck.

Karr Can't Beat Three Pair

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Catching the action with the board reading {K-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, Mclean Karr was faced with a 400-chip bet.

Deliberating for a few moments, Karr made the call.

"Three-pair!" announced Karr's opponent tabling his {7-Spades}{6-Spades}. Karr mucked and slipped to 4,500 in chips.
