Midnight at the Owais-is

Omaha 8

Two players checked to Owais Ahmed on a flop of {2-Hearts}{K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}; Ahmed bet out and both players called, then the same happened on the turn of the {2-Spades} before the the action checked to Ahmed again on the river of the {K-Diamonds}. Ahmed bet and the other two folded, so Ahmed took down the pot. Shazam!

Cantu Under-Stann How He Wins Here?

Stud 8

Brandon Cantu: {x-}{x-} / {3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} / {x-}
Dave Stann: {x-}{x-} / {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{5-Spades} / {x-}

Cantu came out with the bring-in and a player with the {K-Spades} showing completed before Stann called, as did Cantu before Mr. King checked with his {7-Spades} on fourth street. Stann bet, Cantu raised and Mr. King folded before Stann bet out on fifth and sixth streets.

Cantu called each time, then Stann bet dark on seventh street and Cantu called dark, only to muck after Stann tabled {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to scoop the pot.

Schneider Survives, Steicke Denied

Omaha 8

Three players took to a flop that read {7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}; Tom Schneider bet and a player in middle position folded, but another player in late position called before calling Schneider's opening bets on the turn of the {5-Hearts} and the river {J-Spades}. Schneider rolled up {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and that was enough to take it down.

We also passed by Michael Mariakis' table - while we were asked to not report on the "embarrassing" Stud 8 hand he played, we can tell you that he is sharing space with Mike Sexton and that he has confirmation of David Steicke's elimination.

Micon Scoops

Level 3

Omaha 8

On the turn of a {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, three way action was checked to Bryan Micon who bet, the button called and then the big blind check-raised. Micon made it three bets and the button called again with the big blind calling all in.

The river was the {9-Spades} and Micon bet once more, the button folded and Micon showed {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for top set - the big blind couldn't beat this and was eliminated.

Scotty Scoops, Baby

Level 3

Omaha 8

The action folded around to "Hollywood" Dave Stann who raised before the flop, only to call Scotty Nguyen's re-raise before going heads-up to the flop of {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

Stann then check-called Nguyen all the way down the rest of the board of {9-Spades}, {8-Clubs} before Nguyen rolled up {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} which was enough to scoop the pot. Nguyen is up to 10,000 in chips while Stann is down to 8,000.
