Chino Gets Cut Down

Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Action folded around to Andreas Klatt in the cutoff, who min-raised to 2,000. Chino Rheem called on the button, and Michael DeMichele called in the big blind. The flop came out {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. DeMichele checked, and Klatt fired out 2,800. Rheem called fairly quickly, and DeMichele folded, leaving the players heads up. The turn came the {a-Diamonds}, and again Klatt led out, this time for 4,100. Rheem took some more time with this decision, but again decided on a call. The river brought the {10-Hearts}, and Klatt checked. Rheem thought for about 20 seconds, before throwing out a bet of 12,000. Klatt called almost immediately, and neither player seemed too anxious to show their cards. Eventually, Rheem flashed {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for aces and eights, and Klatt showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a flush. Despite losing that hand, Rheem is up on the day from his starting stack of 71,300.
